MISSION STATEMENT

GEOMETRY seeks to empower women in dance by modeling (and sometimes creating) non-traditional pathways inside the commercial and concert landscape of dance that prioritizes women’s agency. the company is committed to the celebration of women’s bodies, stories, well-being, strength, and diversity through the architecture of movement. GEOMETRY prioritizes and recognizes community, leadership, and the curation of safe spaces as the foundation of this work.

VISION

the vision for the company is embedded in carving out more space and definition in the landscape of the dance industry that is a hybrid(ge) connecting concert and commercial contemporary dance. GEOMETRY seeks to empower and partner with other dance artists and envisions a more interconnected web of contemporary language and application of arts development through diverse and equitous opportunities and conversations inside our micro and macro immediate community as well as globally. as a bit of an avant-garde approach to traditional company financing, GEOMETRY operates as a for-profit company. it is in this unorthodox structure GEOMETRY seeks to create conversation and build solutions towards paving a way forward for dance artists that’s not reliant on the unpredictable traditional system of sponsors and grants.
